Write little thank-you-notes to friends or relatives for things they have done for you, to remember nice times together or for gifts you have received from them. Use your favorite pen or something you enjoy using. Roll and tie up with a little ribbon. Surprise them by sneaking it into their bag or room when they are not looking.

My sister bought this book and I’ve been reading it for a while now. I’m the first one to read it, and I can’t spill whether I like it or not because my sister had threatened me not to say a word about the book until she had read it, too. Sorry folks my mouth is shut but here’s what I’ve read about Audrey Niffenegger, author of the book and also I’ll share with  you some parts of the story..

The Time Traveler’s Wife, published in 2003, is the debut novel of American author Audrey Niffenegger. It is a love story about a man with a genetic disorder that causes him to time travel unpredictably, and about his wife, an artist, who has to cope with his frequent absences and dangerous experiences. Niffenegger, frustrated in love when she began the work, wrote the story as a metaphor for her failed relationships. The tale’s central relationship came to her suddenly and subsequently supplied the novel’s title. The novel, which has been classified as both science fiction and romance, examines issues of love, loss, and free will. In particular, it uses time travel to explore miscommunication and distance in relationships, while also investigating deeper existential questions.

Henry begins time traveling at the age of five, jumping forward and backward relative to his own timeline. He is unable to control his travels: when he leaves, where he goes, or how long his trip will last. His destinations are tied to his subconscious—he most often travels to places and times related to his own history. Certain stimuli such as stress can trigger Henry’s time traveling; he often goes jogging to keep calm and remain in the present. He also searches out pharmaceuticals in the future that may be able to help control his time traveling. He also seeks the advice of a geneticist, Dr. Kendrick. Henry cannot take anything with him into the future or the past; he always arrives naked and then struggles to find clothing, shelter and food. Happy weekend!

My Aunt Marie is living in North Carolina for almost 10 years now. She e-mailed dad earlier – telling him about thinking of retiring here but she’s having second thoughts because Uncle Dondi is sick.

Dad got the chance to talked to her a while ago and asked her about their condition. They’re okay at the moment and they’re planning to renovate their resthouse here in Tagaytay for retirement. She also told dad that Uncle Dondi’s having heart problems and it’s a good thing that they have insurance. I remember talking to my friend and she mentioned about Blue Cross North Carolina so when I talked to Aunt Marie I mentioned it to her. I wish I could physically help them especially Uncle Dondi whom we are so fond of. I wish they would retire here.

She told us that they’ll be coming this Christmas and I’m so happy to hear that. It’s been sooo long since I last saw them and I bet we will have a feast when they come back!

My cousin whom I’m close to, now resides in California. I chatted with her sveral days ago and i found out that she’s going to Germany for a scholarship. Lucky her! I told her I always wanted to go to Germany and I made her promise to send me postcards.

We talked about everything and I learned that she’s been traveling with her boyfriend. We talked about Ron, her boyfriend, then she told about the travel medical insurance that they got and I’m like – huh? I didn’t know that they can get a travel medical insurance that will protect them while traveling outside the United States. Cool, right? I don’t know if we have insurance like that here in the Philippines. Anyway, I told her to travel safe and that she should not forget my trinkets from Germany. LOL! I really miss her.

Christmas time here means lots of parties and lots of delicious foods. I fear that I won’t avoid eating a lot and I can’t, really can’t do that because of the wedding. Oh my, this will surely test my self discipline. LOL!

To surely lose weight fast and not gain extra pounds I’m planning to hit the gym. But my only problem is that I’m always lazy when going to the gym. Hmmm, major dilemma.. Well, my plan B is if I’m too lazy to go to the gym, I’ll just exercise here, at our house. Luckily, I already have some exercise equipments and I’m bugging my sister to buy another one. Later, I will search for treadmills because this is what I’m planning to tell her to buy. Aheheh! I hope I can convince her to buy one.

Can’t believe how time flies. Imagine Christmas is just around the corner when it feels like yesterday we just celebrated Halloween.. If you’re a Filipino, you’ll surely know that celebrating Christmas is really a big deal. I’m sure most of the Pinoys out there were already done with their Christmas lists or doing Christmas shopping!

Most of us, aside from gifts do give cards, too. My sister is planning to give a photo holiday cards because she wants to personalize it. I like her idea and I’m thinking about doing the same. The cards are sooo cute and isn’t it really nice to receive a personalize one? Hay, I really love Christmas. This is one of my favorite part of the year. I love all the craziness, chaos and the festive moods of people – giving gifts and receiving one, it always brings out the little girl in me.

OMG!!! My bestfriend had already set the date of her wedding and I’m one of her bridesmaid! She left me a message in my FB and I just pass out after reading it. Hahaha!

Kidding aside, I thought I’m going to have panic attacks because I don’t want to be remembered as the biggest bridesmaid ever in her wedding. Hay, I knew it, I should have taken dieting seriously. Now, I need to lose weight fast and I really mean it! Oh my gosh, I few months from now I’ll be wearing a lovely gown and I promise, they will see the new me. The sexy one, of course. Keeping my fingers cross. LOL!

My Aunt recently bought a new house because the old one was flooded. Her new house doesn’t have furnitures yet but base on plan their new house will be cozy and beautiful one.

I asked about the progress with their bathroom, the one that I wrote about. My Aunt showed me the details and I’m so green with envy when I saw how pretty it’ll turn out to be. It will be a modern and stylish one but it’s also sooo cozy that you could live in it. Promise! I saw their bathroom lighting and it’s so stylish! Wish we had one in our bathroom, too. I’m really looking forward to seeing their house with complete furnishings. And of course, I’m sooo looking forward to stay with them for at least an overnight!

Remember my friend Gail? Her Cafe is now in full blast and I’m so happy for her! Last week she had her Cafe’s soft opening and what I can I say, it’s a success!

Now, she’s as busy as ever times ten, that’s how busy she is! She’s asking for consultations and a little help because she’s new in this business. She also asked about merchant services which I’m so clueless about so I Googled it after we talked. I learned that they are service providers that helps you with your business or in short it will make your business life easier.

I’m so happy for Gail, I really am and I wish that her business will be more successful even if that means she’ll be superb busy as a bee!

The weather is always so unpredictable. Sometimes it rains so hard then the next day the sun is shining brightly! The mud from the heavy downpour had turn into dust and the air we breathe is so polluted right now.

Lately my friend is complaining of having asthma due to dust. Even at their own house, she’s having difficulty breathing. I told her that she should check their air filters because it might be full of dust. I also learned from my brother that you can buy furnace filters that has micro allergen. Isn’t it wonderful? Nowadays, you can just buy everything that you need. I’ll also search for that furnace filters for our house.
