My friends are coming over for dinner. These are high school girl friends whom I haven’t seen in years. Some are already married, some are still single like me. I am preparing a simple dinner for them. What I lack in cooking skills I compensate for in the decorations. I will put centerpieces on each of the three tables I will be setting up. A buffet table on the side complete with a chocolate fountain I got from a caterer friend of mine will be the place for the food. And a corner for drinks will also be set up.
The centerpiece will consist of flowers and candles. It will create a relaxed atmosphere. I know there will be no awkward moments for us but it is still good to have a piece we can all talk about to break the ice, aside from the weather, that is.
Can’t wait to see my high school friends! It will be this weekend. I just know I will have so much fun reminiscing about the past.
